Majority of knee and hip joint replacements last longer than 25 years

Two recent cohort studies were published on the longevity of hip1 and knee joint2 replacements.

For hip joint replacements, 58% lasted longer than 25 years.

For total knee joint replacements, 82% lasted longer than 25 years. For unicondyle knee joint replacements, 70% lasted longer than 25 years.
