About this Course

How to systematically assess and manage GORD, including lifestyle factors, medical treatments, and when to refer to secondary care.

Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), is an extremely common condition in primary care, with approximately 20% of New Zealanders experiencing heartburn (the classic symptom of GORD) at least once a week. Omeprazole is one of the most commonly prescribed medications in general practice.
