The purpose of the webinar is to raise awareness of lung cancer symptoms, improve early detection and referral to secondary health care for patients with a high suspicion of lung cancer, and increase awareness of new treatment paradigms.
Our presenters from Te Aho o Te Kahu the Cancer Control Agency will cover what's new in the early detection of lung cancer as well as the latest in the Lung Cancer Screening research trial, and will include an update on developments in lung cancer management.

Paul Dawkins
Paul Dawkins is a Respiratory Physician at Middlemore Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Auckland. He is the clinical lead for lung cancer at Middlemore, and has chaired the National Lung Cancer Working Group and Northern Cancer Network lung tumour stream for a number of years.
He is the principal and co-investigator for a number of commercial clinical trials in Respiratory Medicine. He is the Director of Physician Education at Middlemore Hospital and is an examiner and training workshop facilitator for RACP.

Kate Parker
Kate is the Programme Manager at the University of Otago and Te Whatu Ora led lung cancer screening research programme. Kate has considerable experience in managing research partnerships, having previously managed the NETwork! Research study at the University of Auckland and been Operations Director for the start-up oncology therapeutics company, Proacta.
