Estee is a New Zealand-trained rheumatologist who holds part-time consultant rheumatologist positions at both Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland and Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau. Her private practice Arthritis Specialist Centre Auckland (ASCA) is based at the East Care Specialist Centre in Botany, Auckland.
After completing specialist rheumatologist training in Auckland and Christchurch, Estee received post-fellowship training at the Centre of Rheumatic Diseases at King’s College London, which was recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) in 2019 and the Louise Coote Lupus Unit, the largest lupus unit in Europe and a LUPUS UK Centre of Excellence, at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital London.
Her subspecialty interests include inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthropathy and SLE. She is proficient in the use of point-of-care musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound (USS) for diagnostic and therapeutic uses in rheumatology and routinely performs MSK USS in her clinic for disease activity monitoring and guided joint aspirations and injections.
Estee is heavily involved in training the next generation of rheumatologists in New Zealand and is the current Chair of the New Zealand Rheumatology Advanced Training Subcommittee of the RACP. She contributes to the Rheumatology chapter of the Auckland Regional Health Pathways.
