Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) are common and are associated with potentially poor outcomes for maternal, child and family units. Primary care holds a crucial role in detecting and managing mental health care for affected women.
In this webinar, Mark Huthwaite provides an overview to identify, screen and manage women with PMADs. He will discuss:
- What has happened to post-natal depression (PND)?
- Identifying the difference between “baby blues” and post-partum depression.
- Maternal screening tools.
- Identifying risk and protective factors.
- Recognising the impact of PMADs on families.
