The importance of echo findings in directing the four pillar medicines of treatment will be covered, as well as what to do when there is no rapid access to the Echo. The availability of modern disease-modifying medications has changed the face of treating congestive heart failure. The importance of rapid up-titration of medications and how to manage changes in blood pressure and renal function will be discussed. Reducing or getting patients off loop diuretics is desirable for patient comfort, and this is becoming increasingly possible with modern medicines.
