Over or underthinking anaphylaxis? Things you were taught that might be wrong
Speaker
Session Date:
Anaphylaxis is a resuscitation emergency and is unique in that the bulk of the presentations are seen first in primary or pre-hospital care and that the decision-making and actions taken here can significantly impact the outcome.
Numerous guidelines around anaphylaxis exist, and a steady stream of articles are being published. They use a mix of definitions, promote different priorities and occasionally contradict each other. In this presentation, I will identify the key management priorities and highlight some common aspects of care about which our traditional teaching may be only partly right or even completely wrong.
