Dr Alasdair Patrick discusses diagnosis, appropriate investigations for and current management of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Dr Alasdair Patrick is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician, Head of Department at Middlemore Hospital and Head of the Bowel Cancer screening programme at CMDHB. He is Director of the Macmurray Centre in Auckland. Dr Patrick has worked as a consultant internationally in the United Kingdom and Singapore and is considered an expert in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He has special interest in the areas of inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease, colorectal cancer and GORD.
