It's important not to underestimate how the health and well-being of men and boys support and enrich the health and well-being of women and children.
In this webinar, Dr. David Kuhl, who works with the Canadian Men's Health Foundation, shares some insightful views on men and boys, including how there is increasing evidence that the role of fathers is very significant to the health and well-being of their sons and daughters.
David will discuss the importance of men expressing their emotions and building meaningful connections, with their children, their partners and other men, as a way to counteract the isolation that many men experience.
As always, we will answer as many questions as possible during this session.

David Kuhl
Dr. David Kuhl is a clinician/researcher known for his work on the themes of fatherhood, masculinity, and men’s health. He is aware of the pressures men face to adhere to traditional ideals of masculinity, such as being strong, stoic and self-reliant, while also acknowledging the vulnerabilities and emotional depth that come with fatherhood and personal health. In his work he emphasizes the importance of men expressing their emotions and building meaningful connections, with their children, their partners and other men, as a way to counteract the isolation that many men experience. He believes that men who strongly commit to being present for their children will take their own health and well-being more seriously.
