Katie will cover common oral health problems that a family may come and see their general practitioner for.
She will provide an overview of the scale of the issue of dental decay in children in New Zealand, the consequences of these problems going untreated and the effect on a child’s day to day life.
Katie will include a brief overview of how the public system is set up to treat children, and other options families may have. Common risk factors for dental decay will also be discussed.
This talk hopes to leave you with practical advice that you could give patients and their families.
