Neurologist
Dr Dayal is an Auckland based Neurologist with subspecialty expertise in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. After having obtained his medical degree from Otago University and completing his physician and neurology training in Wellington and Auckland respectively, he spent five years at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, London, for a clinical fellowship in movement disorders followed by a PhD in optimising Deep Brain Stimulation for patients with Parkinson’s at University College London. He returned to New Zealand in 2020, and is based at Auckland City Hospital, while also being involved in research and teaching as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University.
